This year we are aligning the Fall CIC with the GTJourney project, which supports students and the entire campus community in the creation of applications, immersive experiences, and crowd sourced campus information. The Fall Convergence Innovation Competition (CIC) is open to all Georgia Tech students and focuses exclusively on campus applications and experiences. The goal of this competition is to develop innovative experiences, applications, services. Entries in the competition will be working end-to-end prototypes with a strong emphasis on a user experience which enhances or improves campus life. 1st and 2nd place prizes will be given for each of the themes below. In addition to prizes, the winning entries in the Fall CIC will be put into production on the campus in the Spring of 2013 - this is a great resume/portfolio builder as well as a lasting contribution to the campus!

Successful entries in this category will have capabilities exposed in GTmob, Argon, and/or Zimbra, and will leverage a variety of campus specific data sources and services as well as services in the cloud such as social networks, search, and maps, and location information. This can include native mobile applications for Android and iOS which leverage data and services provided by these platforms. This can also include the curation of content and user experiences, such as tours in the Augmented Reality Campus Tour.
