Overview
UPnP technology is the framework for the digital home. The goal of UPnP technology is to enable automatic configuration and discovery of devices, allowing the ability to send and receive data over TCP/IP and internet protocols, as well as to define an open, distributed architecture to allow various applications and devices to communicate with each other in a seamless manner.
UPnP example application demos:
UPnP remote control application. Written in Java, runs on Windows, Linux or Mac. This demo gives a good example of possible applications around UPnP.
